The Baerenthal Young People's Leisure and Education Centre of Karlsruhe's Municipal Youth Committee is a European meeting place with international character and built on the foundation of Franco-German understanding.

Situated in a region of Europe with an unsettled history, it is a symbol of peace. The Baerenthal Young People's Leisure and Education Centre is open to all groups with responsible leadership, provided that they comply with the Municipal Youth Committee's democratic aims and principles.

It offers leisure and education close to nature, especially for children, youths, and young adults.

The groups are usually responsible for creating their own programme structure.
